HL Group hosts gifting showcase.

Beauty marketers are offering gift-ready kits and SKUs for Holiday 2019—some with cult favorites, some chock full of newness. Public relations firm HL Group in New York City hosted a media showcase from leading personal care brands such as Cannuka, Charlotte Tilbury, Lilah B. and more. Consumers say they will spend an average of $1,047.83 this holiday season, up 4 percent from the $1,007.24 they said they would spend last year, according to the annual survey released by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics. Shoppers between the ages of 35 and 44 plan to spend the most at $1,158.63. For the 13th year in a row, gift cards remain the most popular items on wish lists, requested by 59 percent of those surveyed, followed by clothing and accessories at 52 percent, books/movies/music/video games (35 percent), electronics (29 percent), home décor (24 percent), jewelry (23 percent), personal care or beauty items (21 percent), sporting goods (18 percent) and home improvement items (17 percent).
